*** Traditional Uses of Sage/Herbs**
Indigenous Tribes of all directions use Sages solo and combined with other herbs in ceremony and prayer. Traditionally, Sages are burned to embellish one's scent, and clear one's energy as smoke is moved over self and surroundings with a feather (Smudging). This adds blessings and helps carry our intentions and prayers to the Sky.
**Current Uses**
**CEDAR** Pacific Coast medicine used for cleansing, protection, and blessing in ceremony. A strong purifier, Cedar clears one's space and energy of harmful or unwelcome negativity. It has an invigorating scent that cuts through.
**CA WHITE SAGE** Plant Spirit is is particularly good for cleansing, and creating Sacred Space. Used for clearing, meditation, and ritual. Used in Smudging for blessing self, each other, our tools, and our living/working spaces.
~ CA White Sage~ has a sweetness to it that invites blessings. The white variety is slightly sweeter/muskier scent than either our Desert Sage or Shasta Sages, which have a lighter more delicate scent. All sages have the same clearing/cleansing affects.
*PALO SANTO Wood is an ancient ceremonial Plant Spirit used by native Shamans, Curanderos, and Healers~ of North, Central and South America.
*It was first used by early Inca cultures, to clear away harmful energies before ceremony. Today it is used in house cleansing rituals, travelingceremony, and even to repel insects.
