Meditation for Health and Well Being

With such challenging times, most of us are aware that prioritizing our self-care routine holds real benefit to our body, mind, emotions, and spirit. mindfulness meditation is a gentle way of coming home to ourselves to cultivate our well-being while experiencing tangible results. Benefits vary for all of us, but a regular Mindfulness practice helps to relax and center us, lessens anxiety, promotes sleep, and keeps us aligned with our best selves. Meditation yields patience and clarity, thereby benefiting our relationships.

Cultivating a meditation practice is the fastest way I know to both weather the worlds demands, and retreat from it as needed. (We don't even have to leave town!)  The benefits of meditation are well-researched as a way to actively reduces stress, handle trauma, and encourage healing. A stillness practice naturally alters and balances our energy the more we practice, enabling positive shifts in our lives. A regular meditation practice helps us not only to be present to our experience, but also to increase our capacity to hold whatever is happening around and inside of us, holding it with grace, self-kindness, and spaciousness.

Hello!
I am Tara Linda, and I began a traditional mindfulness meditation practice 27 years ago. I am a certified meditation teacher, and now teach a universal way of mindfulness meditation, common to many traditions, that anyone can learn. If you can breathe, you can meditate! My passion is teaching meditation, and finding ways to help others deepen their practice toward health and wellness. My method involves breathing techniques, meditation as a centering practice, and intentional energy work. See my bio below.

Meditation Coaching

In Meditation Coaching sessions with me, we will start (or restart) a mindful meditation practice in a way that is comfortable for you. In the coaching process, we emphasize and cultivate your meditations, so that you can access your wisdom "from the cushion".  This is a novel and new way of coaching that emphasizes your practice alongside discussion, breathwork, and energy practices.                                           

Meditation coaching is ideal if:
  • You are new to meditation and want guidance in getting started with your new practice.
  • You are a seasoned meditator wanting to re-commit to your practice.
  • You want to practice mindfulness practice alongside energy practices for centering, grounding, and connecting to Divine Source.
  • For health concerns, you are ready to establish a practice of meditation to manage stress; to adopt a practice for optimum mental and spiritual health.

Meditation Circles & Training


Benefits to a Regular Sitting Practice:


Scientifically, meditation has innumerable documented health benefits including reducing stress hormones in the body, improving the nervous system and neural pathways in the brain, lowering blood pressure, and promoting relaxation and more restful sleep.

Meditation Circle: Energy Reset. Winter 2020

Time: 7am PST (1hr)

Join us live for 6-weeks of Meditation practice as group on Zoom. This circle is instruction light (not a formal class) and is centered around sitting right away. Basic mindfulness meditation instruction will be provided along with basics on sitting where we are, dealing with anxiety "on and off the cushion", and cultivating practices of Metta, presence with awareness, and sitting as self-care. Also provided in each session will be energy practices for grounding, centering, releasing energies, and cultivating connection and wholeness - all toward an energetic reset to end the year lighter and more spacious.
Tara Linda has practiced meditation for 27 years, anchoring in mindfulness practices and long-term retreats in Vipassana. She is a certified Meditation Teacher through the SuraFlow Liberate program. She is a current Nyingma student of Dzogchen, and teaches basic mindfulness meditation practice.

As a writer,  artist and musician, Tara specializes in working with artists and their spaces and studios for sacred, creative living.

Tara Linda is an Environmental Biologist-MS. and naturalist
certified in Meditation Training, Subtle Energy Healing, Sound Healing, and Crystal Therapy.
She is a Ceremonialist who has gathered sacred plants and cleansed working and living spaces for over 28 years.
Currently, Tara consults clients in ceremony, grows CA sages and formulates blends and custom kits for clients.
