Sean and Tara will pass on expertise, field notes, and stories from their everyday practice and experience living and working with Sacred Plants- in ways both traditional and non-traditional. Explore the plants, woods, and resins in ways that go beyond what you perhaps first learned. Topics will touch on Energy and Intention, Purification, Shamanism, and connection to Earth and Spirit through ritual with Plant Medicines and their Sacred Smoke.

Course Details

Plant Medicines & their Sacred Smoke will be an interactive course presented on the Zoom platform (simple to use, we will provide a primer in Class I) with opportunities to share, discuss, and ask questions throughout the course. 
*  There will be a private FB group established for registrants where we will post homework and private discussions.
*  A deluxe Smudge Kit will be provided to all (charcoals, iron smudge pot, sweet grass, sacred plants, woods, resins...)

5-Weeks :  Thursday nights: Oct. 5, Oct 12, Oct. 19, Oct. 26, Nov. 2. 
* Courses will be live @ 6:00pm US Pacific Standard time from CA and NV.  (Use this Time Zone Converter to find out your local time here.)  All classes will be recorded and will be available for viewing later if livestreaming is not convenient in your timezone.

Meet Your Instructors

Sean "Walking Bear" Mah

Sean “Walking Bear” Mah is an accomplished Native American artist, actor, and Spiritual practitioner. From an early age, he was immersed in the spiritual practices and traditions of his Northern Alberta Canadian Cree Peoples. Sean was always drawn to the art of sacred rattle and drum making - the tools of the Medicine Men. Sean watched and learned, guided by community artisans, Medicine Men, and his strong visions. He learned the true ritual way they were to be crafted then brought to life in ceremony. Sean states, “Each Rattle finds its owner.” He takes an ancient sacred tool and infuses his artistic talents and makes each piece his own. He uses Etsy as platform to make his sacred art available.

Sean shares his knowledge and teachings in various classes taught in his local Nevada area, including Spiritual Warfare, prayer, and working with ceremony and sacred medicines. Sean states, “In my journey of ‘Shamanism,” it’s such a gift to know that people far and wide still need and use this knowledge. This makes me deeply happy. We cannot forget about such sacred teachings. We cannot forget what they were given to us to be used for. We must always pray and sing to the Creator.”
 
A multi-faceted artist, Sean is also an accomplished actor.

Tara Linda

Energetic Healing, Crystal and Sound Therapy

Tara Linda’s first memories were collecting iron, arrows, and shells from the Sonoran desert where she grew up. She was  taught sacred uses of Plants as a way to heal and self-balance from Yaqui, Cherokee and Tibetan healer-mentors.

Trained as a biologist, Tara has wild-harvested plants for ritual  for over 25 years. She now helps others craft personal ceremony with Sacred Plants- to celebrate milestones, change, and for personal healing. 

Based in Northern California, Tara enjoys planting native sage gardens for bees and local Land Spirits. She grows sage and wild-crafts smudge blends for her shop Sacred Land Sage. Tara is certified in Subtle Energy Healing and Crystal Therapy.

In addition to her work as a naturalist, Tara's spiritual work is grounded in both indigenous wisdom and Tibetan Buddhist practices. She is a 30 year student of Nyingma and Bön traditions,

Tara Linda is also a musician, recording artist, and poet.
